WHICH STATES HAVE THE LOWEST DIVORCE RATES?

How long your marriage will last could depend on where you live.

According to numbers from the Census Bureau, your marriage might have a better chance of surviving if you live somewhere in the northeastern part of the country.

New Jersey is the state with the lowest percentage of people who are divorced. New York came in at a close second.

New York, Connecticut, Delaware and Massachusetts all ranked low in percentages of divorced adults. Minnesota, Wisconsin, IOWA and ILLINOIS also saw low percentages.

Nevada had the highest percentage of divorce, at 14.7. Wyoming, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee were all over 13.5 percent.
