Debbie's voice was the first one heard on Mix 96 when the station launched in April of 1993. She is a veteran of Quad Cities radio having hosted both music and talk shows on several different stations in the market since 1985. She now enjoys spending her days as a radio personality on Mix 96 and rockin' at night on Classic Rock Q106.5.
Debbie got her start in radio at the tender age of just 13 years in her hometown of Savanna, IL. She now lives in Davenport with husband, Matt, 18-year-old son, Michael, and her constant companion, Rocco, the Havanese pooch.

"Children of the Corn" remake audition information...

As you may have heard mentioned on my show this week, a remake of the Stephen King film, Children of the Corn, will be filmed in the Iowa Quad Cities starting early next month. No "stars" are attached to the film, but Quad Cities children will get a chance to appear in the movie which will be shown on the cable Sci-Fi Channel.
If you have a child that might be interested in auditioning, make note of the following: Auditions will be held Thursday, August 14th, through Monday, August 18th, at The Lodge Hotel, 900 Spruce Hills Drive, Bettendorf. Auditions run 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. except on Monday when they end at 1 p.m. Children are asked to bring a small photo to the audition.
Filming will start in the Davenport area on September 3rd and is expected to take about one month.
